Village of Alhambra man reports wallet stolen from swimming pool at recreation center

Someone tried to use a Villager’s credit card Thursday night at the Sunoco station just outside The Villages.

A wallet belonging to a Village of Alhambra man was stolen Thursday morning from the swimming pool at Mulberry Grove Recreation Center.

The wallet was stolen between 10:10 and 10:36 a.m. Thursday, according to an incident report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

That evening, someone attempted to use the 73-year-old Villager’s credit card at the Sunoco station at the corner of U.S. Hwy. 441 and SE Hwy. 42 just outside The Villages, according to the report.
