Man arrested after allegedly shoving his 81-year-old mother at her home on Historic Side

A man is free on $5,000 bond after he allegedly shoved his 81-year-old mother during an argument at her home on the Historic Side of The Villages.

Lady Lake police were called Aug. 24 to the home in the 1800 block of Kaufman Circle.

When officers arrived they learned that 51-year-old William Franklin Young had consumed six beers and appeared to be intoxicated.

He had been arguing with another man when Young shoved his mother several times, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

He lives with his mother.

Young complained of an injury to his elbow and was transported to Leesburg Regional Medical Center before he was taken to the Lake County Jail where he was booked on a charge of battery.
