James Victor Hough

A teen who tossed out a cigarette butt Thursday morning on Morse Boulevard landed behind bars after a traffic stop.

James Victor Hough, 19, of Summerfield, had been a passenger in a black Chevrolet SUV towing a trailer at about 10 a.m. on Morse Boulevard and Hillsborough Trail when he tossed the cigarette butt out the truck’s window, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

A check revealed Hough was wanted on a Sumter County warrant for violating probation on a charge of no valid driver’s license.

He also was found to be in possession of marijuana and a metal pipe disguised as a cigarette.

He was taken into custody and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center.
