85-year-old widower reports theft of Hydrocodone from UPS package at Del Webb Spruce Creek

An 85-year-old widower reported the theft of Hydrocodone from a UPS package delivered at Del Webb Spruce Creek.

The man gets his medicine through the Veterans Administration Hospital and had been up north dealing with the death of his wife, according to an incident report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. A package which was supposed to contain 60 Hydrocodone pills was delivered, but the package was empty and had been re-taped, the report indicated.

The VA indicated the prescription would be refilled if the man obtained a police report, which was filed on Monday.
