An AR-15 was among weaponry reportedly stolen on Tuesday from a Summerfield home.
A Marion County sherif’s deputy responded to a residence located on SE 41st Court in reference to a residential burglary, according to an incident report. The deputy made contact with the victim who advised that unknown persons entered through the residence’s back door and stole items from inside the home.
A husband and wife left the residence at 5 a.m. when all the stolen items were still at the home. Upon their return at 9 p.m., the pair observed the home’s rear door was open. They went inside and discovered the following items to be missing from the residence: a black Colt AR-15 valued at $1,100, one black scope valued at $25, a pink .38-special with a black case and lock valued at $258, one light brown .22-caliber rifle with a chrome loading rod valued at $100, one black 30-6 Remington rifle valued at $300, one black .22-caliber long barreled pistol valued at $100, one 410 shotgun with scuff marks on the stock valued at $10 and one dark wood 35 level action rifle valued at $150.
A total value of $2,060 was stolen.
