Villager arrested at his home after attack on another man witnessed by deputy

Robert William Wyatt

A Villager was arrested at his home after an attack on another man was witnessed by a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy.

The deputy had gone at 8:14 p.m. Sunday to the home of 55-year-old Robert William Wyatt at 1807 San Luis Lane in the Village of Tierra del Sol South, according to an arrest report. The deputy was investigating a golf cart theft.

While the deputy was speaking with Wyatt, another man came to the end of Wyatt’s driveway. Wyatt allegedly punched the man in the chest.

Wyatt was arrested on a charge of battery and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. He was released after posting $1,000 bond.

Wyatt is the owner of Reverse Mortgage Advisors LLC and a graduate of Illinois State University, according to his LinkedIn page. He purchased his Designer home in The Villages in 2015.
