Margaret Ann Upchurch

Margaret Ann Upchurch, 82 years of age, passed on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at home.  Margaret was born August 24, 1938 in Wise County, Virginia to the late Luther and Nancy Tucker.  She was one of eight children, five preceded her in death.

Margaret married the late Theodore Upchurch in 1953 and seven children were born from this union, three preceded her in death.  Margaret professed her life to Christ at an early age.  She loved to read her Bible, sending daily prayers, praying for and with others and spending time with family. Her hobbies were cruising, shopping, and beautiful hats.  She always wore a smile on her face and was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. “To know her was to love her.”

Margaret is survived by her daughter Judy Labanz; sons Robert, William and Edward; sisters Judy Wilson and Mary Abbott; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 7, 2020 10:00 AM at  HIERS-BAXLEY Funeral & Cremation Life Event Center, 3975 Wedgewood Lane, The Villages, FL  32162 * 352-775-7427.  Funeral will immediately follow at 11:00 AM.  Interment will be with her beloved late husband at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
