Sumter County sheriff’s deputies nabbed a pair in a pickup truck stolen from Orange County.

Deputies received a teletype message from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office at 9:30 p.m. Sunday that the 2000 Nissan Frontier pickup could be in Webster. A deputy spotted the stolen vehicle at the Dollar General store on Market Boulevard.

The deputy found 44-year-old Carolyn Virginia Welch and 47-year-old Erik Wilhelm Zwicker, both of Orlando, inside the store.

Welch claimed she had borrowed the truck from a friend. Both were found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug equipment.

Welch and Zwicker were arrested on charges of grand theft of a motor vehicle, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug equipment. Both were booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $5,000 bond each.
