Margaret J. Leonard, age 91 years. of the Villages and Inverness, FL passed on December 15, 2023 in Ocala, FL.

Margaret was born Margaret Jane Leary in Lackawanna, NY to Raymond andAnna Elizabeth Leary on 18 June 1932. She went to school in South Buffalo. She married Herman F. Leonard on 16 August 1952 in south Buffalo, NY. She worked as a retail sales clerk at Hens and Kelly’s in the Southgate Plaza of Hamburg, NY and as a bank teller for Liberty National Bank in Hamburg, NY. She enjoyed needlepoint, was a member of the Villages needlepoint club, where she won awards and was noted for her artistry and craftsmanship.

Margaret is preceded by her husband, Herman F. “Bud” Leonard, her sister, Patricia Rothenberger, and her parents Raymond and Anna Elizabeth Leary. Margaret is survived by her 4 children Timothy, Susan, Patrick, and Deborah and 10 grandchildren; Heather, Linda, and JJ, Erick, Meghan, Sierra, and Xander, and Adriana, Nya, and Xavier.

Viewing for Margaret will be Thursday, 28 December 2023 from 3:00PM till 5:00PM at Hiers and Baxley Funeral Services, 3975 Wedgewood Lane, The Villages, FL 32162. Burial will be conducted at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell on Friday, 29 December 2023, at 1130.
