Frances P. Johnson
June 9, 1933 – January 28, 2024

Frances P. Johnson “Fran”, 90, of Lady Lake FL, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 28, 2024 after battling cancer for 28 years.

Born 6/9/1933 to Robert & Pauline (Beckmeier) Nath.

Married to Delbert “Smokey” Eugene Meinert until his passing in 1984. After his passing her high school sweetheart, Richard “Dick” Johnson rekindled/reconnected with her and they married in 1986. She resided in Pecatonica IL and worked at F&F Assembly, in Pecatonica and Micro Switch, in Freeport for many years. Her first couple years after retiring she was blessed with babysitting Allison during the days. An opportunity that allowed her to fulfill her “Mom” dream. She felt so honored and shared wonderful memories of her time with that precious little girl.

After Dick retired, they moved to The Villages full time. Before this they were “snow birds” and had had many great times over the years at their get-away homes near Mauston WI. Living in The Villages allowed her to show her competitive nature in bowling, playing billiards, and golf. She was a true pool shark and got a “hole in one” on the golf course.

Always the optimist with a beautiful smile and heart of gold. Genuinely sweet and deeply loved by everyone who met her.

She is dearly missed by her husband, Dick; surviving siblings Arlene and Howard; God children, Jody, Alan, and Julie; step children, Rhonda and Sheila; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents and siblings Dorothy, Shirley, Mary, Raymond, Ronald, and Eugene.

No service will be held. If desired, a donation in memory of Fran to a cancer assistance or research organization can be made.
