Elizabeth Brigham

Elizabeth “Bibus” Brigham, age 93, of the Villages, FL, formerly of Dyersburg, TN, died Friday, February 17, 2017 at The Villages Hospice House. Born November 17, 1923 to the late Urban Coy and Myrtle Evans Bell, in Greenville, Mississippi. She met James “Jimmie” Brigham also of Dyersburg, TN and they were married March 7, 1942.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Villages Hospital Auxiliary.

She and her husband, Jimmie, will always be remembered for beautiful music, music lessons, church music, weddings, funerals, beauty pageants, Dyersburg Little Theatre, Rotary Club picnics, horse shows and the music store. All of those occasions where music was needed, Jim and Bibus were there. Bibus was able to play her music until the end, still volunteering to play piano in the reception area at the Villages Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Curry Funeral Home in Dyersburg, TN conducted by Reverend Ed White with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Jim Brigham, Barry Brigham, Lee Brigham, Gary Coombs, Jim Choate, Ted Parent, Chris Rivers, Orion Choate and Max Choate.

She is survived by her daughter, Barb Hollingsworth of the Villages, FL; two sons, Jim Brigham of Plantation, FL, Barry Brigham of Brush Prairie, WA; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, James Anderson “Jimmie” Brigham (2/21/82).

The family requests memorials be directed to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301
