Crash snarls traffic on County Road 466

A crash at about 4 p.m. Monday snarled traffic on County Road 466 in The Villages.

The rear-end collision tied up westbound traffic which was being diverted onto Buena Vista Boulevard.

Emergency personnel were on the scene of the accident on County Road 466.

One person was trauma alerted from the scene.

A total of three vehicles were involved.  The crash investigation has been turned over to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred in front of the new Elan assisted living facility under construction.

The Villages Public Safety Department and the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office were on the scene of the accident.
