Reminder about Memorial Day trash collection in The Villages

For those residents who live in the Sumter county, Marion county and Fruitland Park portions of The Villages, there will be no residential trash or recycling collection on Monday, May 30, in observance of Memorial Day. Both trash and recycling will be collected on Saturday, May 28. Residents should have their bags out no later than 6 a.m.

If you live in the Town of Lady Lake in The Villages and have your garbage picked upon Monday,  they ask you to hold onto your garbage and put it our on the next normal pickup date. To confirm this you can call 751-1526.

If you live in the Lake County part of The Villages (some properties on the east side of U.S. Hwy. 27/441) your garbage pick up will be the next day after Memorial Day. To confirm this you can call 343-9400.
