A Village of Del Mar woman arrested last month after making a scene in the Emergency Room at The Villages Regional Hospital has been sentenced.

Brenda Darlene Bryson, 60, on June 9 had used “excessive explicit language” toward hospital staff, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. The security staff advised the deputy who arrived at the scene that Bryson was being put on the hospital’s trespass log as a result of her actions. When the deputy told Bryson she had been trespassed from the hospital and attempted to persuade her to leave, she replied, “Screw you.” The deputy continued to attempt to convince Bryson to leave, but she refused. She was arrested on a charge of trespassing.

Earlier this month, Bryson entered a plea of no contest to the charge. She was sentenced to six months probation and ordered to perform 20 hours of community service.
