Bridget Bergin, age 86, of Lady Lake, FL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 under the care of The Villages Hospice House, The Villages, FL. Born in Collooney, Co. Sligo, Ireland, she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Mary Ann Kerins.
Prior to her retirement Bridget was a Registered Nurse. She enjoyed golf, swimming, Rummy Q, shopping, dancing, traveling and cruising. She would spend every summer visiting her family in Ireland. She was well known for her baking skills. Bridget was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, The Villages, FL.
Bridget will be deeply missed by her brothers: Patrick, Francis, Donal, Dermot Kerins all of Sligo, Ireland and sisters: Dympna Harrison of Sligo, Ireland and Eithne Weir of Garnet Valley, PA, sisters-In-law and brother-In-law, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Bridget was preceded in death by her husband, James Bergin and brother, Michael (Austin) Kerins.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. at St. Timothy Catholic Church, The Villages, FL. Burial will take place in Ireland. Contributions in memory of Bridget may be sent to Cornerstone Hospice, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162 and would be greatly appreciated.
