Driver with suspended license nabbed for speeding on State Road 44

A 22-year-old Wildwood man was arrested on a charge of driving while license suspended after he was spotted speeding on State Road 44.

Anthony Jamal Green was driving shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday on SR44 near the intersection with County Road 141 when he was spotted driving 70 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and later released after posting $500 bond. He was issued a written warning for speeding.
