A 37-year-old Villager who was arrested when he appeared to be intoxicated this past summer outside Margarita Republic has been sentenced on a charge of disorderly intoxication.
Kevin Joseph Boudreau of the Village of Sanibel and a female companion were outside the Spanish Springs Town Square restaurant at 2 a.m. July 4 when they were encountered by Lady Lake police officers.
While waiting for a taxi, Boudreau cursed at officers and blew cigarette smoke at them. He was warned several times by officers to calm down while waiting for the taxi which had been summoned for him. He began to get aggressive toward officers when the taxi arrived. He then refused to get into the cab.
On Tuesday in Lake County Court, Boudreau pleaded no contest to the disorderly intoxication charge. He was ordered to pay $288 in court costs. Boudreau was warned by the judge that it he did not sign up for a payment plan, his driver’s license would be suspended.
Boudreau had been arrested on a charge of driving under the influence in November 2013. He was arrested in June 2014 for violating his probation on that charge.
