Villager steps into Cody’s after hit-and-run crash at Lake Sumter Landing

A Village of St. Charles man was arrested after a golf cart hit-and-run Thursday night at Lake Sumter Landing.

Henry Louis Miles III had been driving a 2004 Yamaha golf cart at the intersection of Old Mill Run and Canal Street when the golf cart struck another Villager’s parked 2017 Jeep Cherokee, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Miles kept going, parked his golf cart and walked into Cody’s Original Roadhouse.

A witness was able to point out Miles.

He was arrested on a charge of hit-and-run and ticketed on a charge of careless driving.

He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond was set at $1,000.
