Lady Lake commissioners are facing a decision about the possibility of medical marijuana dispensaries setting up shop in the town.
Commissioners want to hear from residents about their thoughts on the subject.Â
The Lady Lake Commission will be holding a workshop at 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7 to get Lady Lake residents’ input on whether or not they want to allow medical marijuana treatment center dispensing facilities within the town’s limits. The workshop will be held at Town Hall Commission Chambers located at 409 Fennell Blvd.

Sumter County commissioners have also been debating this issue. Commission Chairman Doug Gilpin made headlines when he said the market has not been crying out for medical marijuana.
A recent seminar at the Waterfront Inn in The Villages provided information about how to obtain medical marijuana.
