Three-story assisted living facility in Spanish Springs to be considered

Plans for a three-story assisted living in Spanish Springs will go before the Lady Lake Commission this week.

The 33,100-square-foot nursing home and memory care facility is to be built at 930 Alverez Avenue, across from the Vista Sonoma Villas.

Commissioners will have a look at the conceptual site plan for the Titan Assisted Living Facility and Memory Care Center to be built by the Villages Operating Company.

The facility will include 50 units in an assisted living facility and 36 units in a memory care center.

According to documents to be part of the presentation, the impact on traffic to the area will be minimal.

The 86-bed assisted living facility is estimated to generate 28 trips during the peak p.m. hours, or 0.29 trips per occupied bed, according to the documents.

The site plan will be the subject of a special Lady Lake Commission meeting at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Town Hall.
