Man arrested after allegedly trying to break into cars at Dam Diner

A 26-year-old man was arrested Thursday after he was reportedly trying to break into vehicles parked at the Dam Diner in Ocklawaha.

Witnesses reported to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office that a man was trying to enter several vehicles in the parking lot. A deputy located Joshua Turner and upon making contact with him, Turner fled on foot. The deputy was able to apprehend him and place him under arrest. During a search at the Marion County Jail, a corrections officer discovered methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia hidden on Turner.
