Two of the men entered the store at different times on Tuesday and tried to spend the $100 bills which the manager of the store determined to be fraudulent, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.

The first time one of the men was told his bill was fraudulent, he got into a black Hyundai SUV that headed toward U.S. 301. When the same vehicle returned to the store and a different man tried to pass one of the bills, police arrived. The store manager identified the man who had previously been at the store.

The driver of the SUV, 21-year-old Kinsom Blake Tant, was found to be in possession of counterfeit money. He was arrested and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center.

The other two men, 22-year-old Derris LaShawn Brown and 22-year-old Justin Maurice Chandler, were also taken into custody and booked at the jail. Bond for each was set at $2,000.

The men told police they paid a total of $300 in genuine money for $1,800 in counterfeit money. They said they received the counterfeit money from someone known as C-Note in Orlando.
