Villager experiences close call since speed bump removed at Mallory

To the Editor:

Now that the powers to be have succumbed to some boisterous folks about speed bumps and removed those near the starter shack for the Virginia Nine of Mallory Hill Country Club, I have already had a very close call coming out of the tunnel there.  Someone with one of those “high speed” (probably illegal) gas carts was coming down toward the tunnel as I was exiting.  He was going so fast that he could not hold the curve and entered my lane, resulting in a near miss.  Please put the speed bump back on the downward lane.  This is an accident just waiting to happen.
