Properties of The Villages sales agent sentenced in attack on woman at Oxford Oaks

William Barron

A Properties of The Villages sales agent has been sentenced in an attack last year on a woman at Oxford Oaks.

Wildwood police had been called May 20 to the 3000 block of Cichielo Court where a woman was sitting on the street curb and crying. She called 911 after her ex-boyfriend, William B. Barron, struck her in the face. She said he had invited her over to try to reconcile, but when he went through the messages on her cell phone, he became enraged and grabbed her by the throat, according to an arrest report. She was able to free herself from his grip and headed for her car. Barron reached into the car and again grabbed her by the throat and struck her in the face. When the officer made contact with Barron, it appeared he had been drinking.
