Ward W. Sparks

Ward W. Sparks, age 73, of Fruitland Park, Florida, passed away with his family by his side. He was born July 16, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Merton and Hazel Didier Sparks.

Ward was an Electrical Engineer retiring in 1994 from the formerly known Detroit Edison Utilities.

Ward moved from Michigan to Fruitland Park in the same year he retired. He and his wife loved to take their boat out for peaceful rides on Lake Griffin. He was also very active as a Deacon in his church, Grace Bible Baptist Church in Leesburg, Florida.

Ward is survived by his loving wife Elaine Curtis Sparks, Sisters, Laurel Despot of Eustis, Fl. and Myrta Johnson and her husband Kenneth of Evans, Georgia.

Friends may visit the family at the church Saturday, September 8, from 10 a.m. until the funeral starting time at 11 a.m. Interment will follow the services at Shiloh Cemetery, Fruitland Park, FL.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorial Donations be sent to either Missions Program at Grace Bible Baptist Church, 1703 Lewis, Road, Leesburg, Fl. 34748 or to Gideon’s International, P.O. Box, 491534, Leesburg, Florida, 34748.
