Our governor is still a coward and so is his puppeteer

To the Editor:

On April 3, I wrote a letter where I gave my opinion that Gov. DeSantis is a coward.
It has been 111 days since I wrote that. On April 3 there was a total of 10,268 cases of Coronavirus, and a total of  170 deaths in Florida.
Today, there were 10,250 new cases and 173 deaths. That is just for one day!
The total number of cases is currently 389,868, and total number of deaths is currently 5,518.
What has our coward of a governor done? Absolutely nothing.
He never closed the beaches statewide, he still refuses to issue a statewide mandate for everyone to wear masks, even though as of today, 79 percent of Floridians favor mask requirements. Who knows how many deaths occurred because of that one NON decision he made. This entire pandemic will go down as one of the most bungled leadership roles a president and governor have ever played. Leaders lead. We have no leaders in our governor and president. DeSantis wants the schools to open 100 percent IN PERSON next month, without any sort of plan as to how to keep our children and grandchildren safe.
When the first children get sick, and God forbid, one dies, the reaction will be swift and powerful, and then people will wake up to what they accepted, but we cannot wait for that to happen. His polling numbers are tanking by the day, and he still cannot make a decision without checking with the man who picked him to be our governor – the even bigger coward Trump.
The polls show Biden ahead of Trump in Florida by anywhere from 8 to 13 points, depending on the polling source.  The people of Florida are seeing the light, and I am encouraged that so many people who supported Trump and DeSantis are realizing that they made a mistake, and these two men are both sociopaths.
Neither has the ability to show empathy, but they both have no problem displaying their dislike of responsibility. Everything that doesn’t go well is someone else’s fault, or it is FAKE NEWS! November 3 cannot come soon enough!  Wake up Villagers!  Just how much more of this can you take? Trump needs to go, DeSantis needs to go, and all of the senators and Congressmen who have supported and enabled our corrupt president need to be held accountable when they are up for election. I look forward to your comments! Try something new, though – use FACTS to back up your arguments. The foul language and name calling gets old real fast.
