Patricia Lewin Horne

Patricia Lewin Horne, was born 5 August 1936 in Portland, Maine and passed away 16 March 2017 in Summerfield, Florida.
She graduated from Springfield College, Massachusetts and taught high school in Colorado and Virginia.
She left the teaching profession to raise her children and become an Army wife for 30 years. She enjoyed volunteering in nursing homes and hospice, playing golf, dancing and traveling.
She is survived by her husband, Colonel (Ret.) John W. Horne; sister, Jane Thurlow; son, CW4 (Ret.) John W. Horne, Jr.,( Paula D.) ; daughters, Sally H. Krauss (Stephen); Paula H. Richardson (Jamie); four grandchildren; Ryan, Adam, Lea and Lewin.
She was preceded in death by her son, Paul M. Horne.

There are no local services. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
