Lee Strobel is an investigative reporter for the Chicago Tribune when the newspaper was at its heights and its distribution was exceeded only the New York Times. He has just received national recognition for his articles

Lee’s marriage is strained as his wife has “Found Jesus” and joins a group to change the world.  Her actions pique Lee to consider Jesus as just another man.

“Case for Christ” is playing at the Rialto Theater.

Following the reasoning patterns he has previously employed, he hypothesizes that the Resurrection is the key to Christianity.  In order for this to be true, Christ must have died first.  He reasons that Jesus was only injured and was restored to health.  Without his death, Christianity a hoax.

As entertainment, Strobel’s crusade does not have a lot going for it.  Sure, over 500 people have reported to see Jesus shortly after the so-called crucifixion, but that doesn’t make it true….or does it?

“Case for Christ” gets a C grade.  It is currently showing at the Rialto Theater in The Villages.
