THE VILLAGES – Charles Fredric Barnes, 70, passed from this life Monday, December 23, 2013. Born in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Charles and June (Boswell) Barnes. Charles was a retired buyer for Sears, of Chicago. He later served as an account executive for Graco, Inc. Equipment Co., of Ohio. He was a member of the Chicagoland Club as well as a member of the Chicago Bears Club. He was of the Lutheran faith and was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, The Villages. He enjoyed golf, fishing and the music of the 50s and 60s. Charles found great joy in life by helping others and in his family. He was most proud of his marriage of 50 years, to his wife Linda, and his children and grandchildren. Charles leaves his wife, Linda (Ashby) Barnes, son James C. Barnes of The Villages, daughter, Amy Barnes of Lady Lake, two grandchildren, Corey Cress and Jaidyn Wolfe and a sister, Shirley McCuthen of Midland, MI. He was predeceased by a grandson, Tristan Wolfe in January of this year. A Memorial Service will be held in Hope Lutheran Church 250 Avenida Los Angelos, The Villages on Friday, January 3, 2014.at 11a.m. The family will greet relatives and friends beginning at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hope Lutheran Church.
