33-year-old man dies at scene of three-vehicle accident in Pasco County

A 33-year-old man died at the scene of a three-vehicle accident Sunday night in Pasco County.

Joseph Martino of Trinity had been at the wheel of a 2018 Hyundai Sonata at 8:16 p.m. on State Road 52 when his vehicle collided with a 2004 Ford F-250 driven by 26-year-old Charles Smith of Spring Hill, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Smith’s truck had been forced into the path of Martino’s car following a collision with 2014 Ford F-150 driven by 34-year-old Bradley Chapman of Hudson.

A passenger in Martino’s vehicle, 30-year-old Brittany Martino, was seriously injured and transported to Bayonet Point Medical Center.

Smith and Chapman escaped injuring.
