Lady Lake woman arrested after allegedly attempting to steal cell phone charger at Wal-Mart

A Lady Lake woman was arrested after allegedly attempting to steal a cell phone charger at Wal-Mart at Buffalo Ridge Plaza in The Villages.

Stephanie Yvonne Reaves, 46, entered the store shortly before 7 p.m. Friday and selected a cell phone charger, facial hair remover, a Bic lighter, a cell phone pop socket and a stylus with a total value of $57.16, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

She left the store without paying for the merchandise, but was confronted by the store’s loss prevention officer.

She was taken into custody on a charge of petit theft and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond was set at $500.
