Upcoming concert to benefit Villages High School student musicians

The Villages High School Music Boosters are presenting their eighth annual Winter Wonderland Concert & Sing-A-Long on Thursday, Nov. 29.

The event, which begins at 7 p.m., will be at the Savannah Center. It will feature special guests and some favorite Villages entertainers, including:

  • Villager Ray Leggiero, a well-known local singer and stage performer;
  • Highly popular singer Mary Jo Vitale with Maestro Bill Doherty;
  • A special tribute by George “Pete” Laufersky, accompanied by Gary LaCroix;
  • VHS alumnus and special guest, Billy Harwood;
  • VHS student musicians;
  • Women’s choir, men’s choir and chamber singers under the direction of Mark Lehnowsky; and
  • Jazz band and percussion ensemble under the direction of Nathan Froebe.

Reserved seating tickets are $10 and $25 for the general public. Tickets are available at The Villages Box Office locations and online at TheVillagesEntertainment.com. Proceeds from the show benefit the scholarship and education fund for VHS student musicians.
