Important to help those battling mental health issues

Congressman Daniel Webster

May is mental health awareness month. It is important to assist those battling mental and substance abuse illnesses.

I have long supported empowering local mental health providers and research institutions who are pursuing better understanding of mental illnesses and potential solutions for individuals struggling with mental health issues.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is one example of an organization with local providers.

They have resources to assist you or someone you love who has a mental health condition or is in a mental health crisis.

Visit this website to find a local affiliate who can provide support and understanding: https://www.nami.org/Local-NAMI?state=FL
