Fruitland Park woman jailed third time this year after causing disturbance at her home

Elsie Mariotti

A Fruitland Park woman was jailed for the third time this year after causing a disturbance at her home.

Fruitland Park police were called at 5:38 p.m. Wednesday to the home of 57-year-old Elsie Mariotti, at 400 Pennsylvania Ave. She began creating a disturbance by “yelling and screaming profanity” at law enforcement officers, according to an arrest report.

“Elsie has a history of this type of behavior and law enforcement is called out to her residence often,” the arresting officer wrote in the report.

The Miami native was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct and booked at the Lake County Jail. Bond was set at $1,000.

Mariotti had been arrested in April after she tried to sic her pit bull on police officers.

She had also been arrested in January and spent nearly two months in jail when she was arrested on charges of battery on a law enforcement officer and unlawful possession of a concealed handcuff key.
