Villager with Coronavirus remains hospitalized but showing improvement

Tony Perry

A Villager who has been diagnosed with the Coronavirus remains hospitalized but is reportedly showing improvement.

Tony Perry, 67, of the Village of Monarch Grove, was diagnosed Sunday with COVID-19. He is a patient at Leesburg Regional Medical Center.

His wife, Susan, has been under self-quarantine at their home, but was able to speak by phone with her husband of 25 years. She also learned Wednesday that her test for COVID-19 came back negative.

She said her husband’s headache has subsided, his fever is down and the dry cough that drove him to the ER has improved.

“So for the first time I feel confident in saying that he’s on the other side of this. Thank you Lord,” she said in a Facebook post to her neighbors in the Village of Monarch Grove.

The critical care nurse said she is looking forward to having her husband back home “as soon as possible.”

She said she is grateful for the support of her neighbors.

This truly is a wonderful home,” she said.
