63-year-old motorcyclist killed in Lake County accident

A 63-year-old man from Orlando was killed at 1:30 p.m. Sunday on U.S. Hwy. 27 in Lake County.

The man’s name has not been released pending notification of next of kin, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The man’s motorcycle was traveling south on O’Brien Road when it failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the intersection with U.S. Hwy. 27 and collided with a pickup driven by Steven Raulerson, 36, of Leesburg.

Raulerson was transported to Leesburg Regional Medical Center for injuries suffered in the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
