A 43-year-old Village of Polo Ridge man was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest following a disturbance at his home Thursday night.

A neighbor had contacted the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office after hearing someone yelling and breaking items at the home of Bret Garst Quackenbush of Winchester Court.

When a deputy arrived, Quackenbush answered the door not wearing any clothing, according to the arrest report. Quackenbush swore at the deputy and slammed the door in his face, the arrest report indicated.

Quackenbush continued yelling and making a disturbance. Once he was handcuffed, he refused to walk under his own power, the arrest report said.

He was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center where bond was set at $1,250.
