Wide variety offered at craft show this weekend at Colony

Steve Burt and his wife Jolyn were busy Friday afternoon setting up their booth for the craft show slated for Saturday and Sunday.

The event will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day at Colony Plaza shopping center.

Burt will be selling copies of his book, “FreeK Week.” The book is the third in a trilogy and part of the book is set in The Villages.

It’s a testament to the wide variety of items that will be offered at the craft show put on by American Craft Endeavors. Vendors will offer art, glass, jewelry, soap, plants and other items.

Cheri and Bill Clever came up Sarasota for the event and will be selling Chunky Monkey jewelry.

“We’ve never been to The Villages before,” Cheri Clever said. “It’s very nice.”
