Woman arrested on fraud charge at The Villages Regional Hospital

A 28-year-old Ocala woman was arrested at The Villages Regional Hospital on Monday, accused of knowingly providing a false Social Security number to hospital officials.

Kardeidre Monay Childs has been admitted at TVRH multiple times in the past year, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

It was determined that the Social Security numbers she had provided belonged to other individuals.

She was a patient at the hospital under her correct name and information at the time of her arrest Monday, the arrest report indicated.

Childs told the arresting deputy that she had used fictitious names and Social Security numbers on four previous visits to the hospital.

She is a facing felony and misdemeanor charges of fraud.

She was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center where bond was set at $10,000.
