22-year-old Wildwood woman sentenced to 59 days in jail

A 22-year-old Wildwood woman has been sentenced to 59 days in the Sumter County Detention Center.

Sharniece Shantay Johnson was sentenced on a charge of driving while license suspended. It was a second offense, according to records from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

She was sentenced Wednesday by Judge Thomas Skidmore in Sumter County Court.

She had faced previous traffic-related charges of a child restraint violation and driving with an expired tag.
