Troy E. Vaughn Sr.

Troy E. Vaughn, Sr., 77, of Wildwood, FL, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016. Mr. Vaughn was born November 6, 1938 in Osierfield, GA, to Henry Lenton and Jule (Crawford) Vaughn. He moved here in 1960 from GA and retired from CSX Railroad as a Clerk. Troy was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting and vacationing with his family at the beach. Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Jerrylea; sons, Troy E. Vaghn, Jr “Tev”  of Wildwood and Derek DeWayne Vaughn (Debbie) of Brooksville;               6 grandchildren and a great-grandson. He was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Faye Sewell. Visitation for Troy will be held 5 – 7 p.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2016 in the Banks/Page-Theus Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, February 4, 2016 in the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Oxford with interment following in Nichols Cemetery, Oxford. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, www.cshopice.org.
