A 30-year-old Villager with a history of run-ins with law enforcement is back behind bars where he is being held without bond.

Francis Joseph Lavin of 416 Tarsson Blvd. was booked Thursday at the Lake County Jail on a warrant charging him with violating his probation on a charge disorderly intoxication.

Lavin is due back in court later this month.

In May 2015, Lavin had been spotted sitting at a picnic table and drinking beer at the Shell station at 3 LaGrande Blvd., according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

A clerk told law enforcement that Lavin had entered the Kangaroo station across the street, purchased a Natural Ice beer and placed it in a styrofoam cup and began to drink from it. The clerk said she knew Lavin from the past and believed he had violent tendencies, therefore did not want to approach him.

When police arrived on scene, Lavin began yelling and screaming obscenities, the report indicated.

Lavin was arrested in 2014 on a charge of driving while license suspended and in 2012 on an out-of-county warrant.
