An Ocklawaha man was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash early Monday morning on Interstate 75 in Marion County.
Christopher Kent Fox, 28, had been at the wheel of a 2006 Dodge Durango at 6:30 a.m. headed northbound on I-75 when he lost control of the vehicle, it left the roadway and struck a tree, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
Fox was pronounced dead by Marion County Fire Rescue.
The accident report noted that he had been wearing a seatbelt.
