Ribbon-cutting set for recreation center named in honor of Villages vice president

The new Moyer Recreation Center
The Moyer Recreation Center in the Village of Pine Ridge.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony has been set for 10 a.m. Sept. 6 for the new Moyer Recreation Center located in the Village of Pine Ridge.

The recreation center bears the name of the Villages Vice President of Development Gary Moyer.

The ceremony’s activities will include music and trivia by DJ Ric Mitchell. Light refreshments will be served.

The first 500 attendees will be given a commemorative pin.

The new recreation center is located at 3000 Moyer Loop.

It includes a substation for the Fruitland Park Police Department.
