A Summerfield woman who was arrested Thursday afternoon on an outstanding Marion County warrant also is facing two drug charges.
Marion County sheriff’s deputies took 55-year-old Shari Lynne Gunter into custody on multiple probation and failure to appear in court violations relating to charges of driving with a suspended or revoked license (habitual) and giving false identification to a law enforcement officer.
But while searching Gunter in her home at 322 SW Hwy. 42, deputies found a bag containing a clear crystal inside her bra that weighed seven grams and field tested positive for methamphetamine, a sheriff’s office report states, adding that deputies also found a digital scale in her shorts pocket.
In addition to the past charges, Gunter is facing one count of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and another for possession of drug equipment, the report says.
Gunter, who has been housed in the Marion County Jail 14 times since November 2010, is being held on $3,000 bond on the drug charges and no bond on the others. She is due in a Marion County courtroom on Nov. 20 at 9 a.m. to answer to the charges.
