A trooper with the Florida Highway Patrol has been ticketed as a result of an investigation into a May 18 accident on Interstate 75 in Marion County.

Trooper Raul Umana has been ticketed on a charge of careless driving as a result of the investigation.

Three children were airlifted from the scene of the accident that occurred near Mile Marker 345.
