The city of Fruitland Park proclaimed the week of May 17-23 as “Emergency Medical Services Week.”

National EMS Week, Fruitland Park’s “Emergency Medical Services Week” and presents an opportunity to honor the men and women who deliver pre-hospital 911 emergency medical care in Fruitland Park along with Lake EMS and the Fruitland Park Fire Department.
“The fire and EMS service has a rich history of protecting the health and safety of our communities through an ‘all hazards’ response model that includes the delivery of pre-hospital emergency medical care via a multi-tiered system. Fire service personnel and EMS providers are located, trained, and equipped to provide virtually every community with timely pre-hospital 9-1-1 emergency medical response and patient care,” said Fruitland Park Fire Chief George Fernandez.
