FHP arrests driver who allegedly fled scene of accident in which bicyclist killed

The Florida Highway Patrol has arrested a 22-year-old man who is accused of leaving the scene of an accident in which a 17-year-old bicyclist was killed.

Frankie Albert Arroyo of Orlando is facing a charge of leaving the scene of an accident involving death, according to the FHP. He may face additional charges.

Arroyo had been driving a 2013 Dodge Dart at the time of the accident at 3:35 p.m. Wednesday on Trevarathon Road and Alvin Road in Orange County.

His vehicle allegedly struck and killed Rakib Chowdhury also of Orlando. Chowdhury was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by the Medical Examiner.
