A Wildwood man is facing a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after he allegedly used his vehicle to “scare” another man during an argument at a service station.
Keith Christopher Dyess, 32, was arrested Monday afternoon by Wildwood police in connection with the incident which took place Friday night at the Sunoco station on Main Street in Wildwood.
Dyess had backed his vehicle into the car wash at the station. As he was then pulling his vehicle out of the car wash, another individual approached him, “attempting to exchange words with him,” according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. As the person attempted to disengage from the disagreement, Dyess allegedly sped up toward the other person and slammed on his brakes.
A clerk at the service station backed up the account of victim.
Dyess was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $5,000 bond.
