Update from the Villages District Office:
• The District Customer Service and all District Administrative offices will remain closed until Wednesday, Sept. 13. While the physical offices will remain closed, you will still be able to contact Customer Service at (352) 753-4508 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for information.
• All outdoor recreation facilities including swimming pools and outdoor court facilities will remain closed until further notice.
• Recreation Centers will remain closed until Wednesday, Sept. 13.
• Community Watch will continue to monitor the weather conditions and will not place the gate arms back on the gates until it is safe to do so. If you approach a gate where the gate arm has been removed, please use extreme caution and make sure to stop before proceeding.
• It has not yet been determined if golf courses will need to be closed for a longer period of time.
• The Villages Public Safety Department will not be conducting smoke detector battery checks until further notice.
